Creative, Play-based Curriculum

Our curriculum is continuously evolving into the most unique, individualistic, and educational experience.  In addition to following a play-based philosophy, we keep the latest early education research in mind while we prepare and present new curriculum to the children. Some of our inspiration comes from famous fine artists and classical musicians. We enjoy sharing different well-known paintings with the children while watching their interpretations turn into beautiful pieces of art. We enthusiastically watch the children develop an appreciation for the arts and acquire the power to think in a new way.  Along with our art curriculum, the children are exposed to many different enrichment programs including, music classes, and additional programs that coincide with our ever changing curriculum topics. All curriculum and enrichment programs are presented in a fun, relaxed environment to encourage the children to explore, discover, and foster a love for knowledge.  A child’s involvement in projects and curriculum nurtures their natural curiosity and lays the foundation for a lifetime of learning. Our teachers also utilize aspects of the Reggio Emilia Philosophy and believe every preschooler is full of knowledge, curiosity and creativity. The Reggio Emilia Philosophy is not a specific curriculum, but more of a way to foster children's exciting and always changing imaginations.

Each month we select 1-2 themes based on the children’s current interests.  By choosing themes of interest, the children are more invested and excited to learn new facts and information.  We tailor the curriculum to the different age groups by going more in depth with the older children.  We also chose the information we share with the children based on questions that naturally arise from curiosity.  We make sure to spark the children’s natural interests and involve each and every child.

We also look to the families of our school for curriculum suggestions including introductions into different cultures and family traditions. We value the contributions from all families and we encourage parents to become involved with our program.
